"You reel me out, then you cut the string"
Introducing my most recent finish: Fifteen Step! I'm really enamored with this one, just absolutely chuffed. The pattern is "Two Step" by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Company. I adore her patterns. I found this pattern, along with another of hers, a year or so ago at an estate sale. (more on that other pattern later) Her designs are classic, gorgeous, and deceptively simple. Precision, care, and attention are rewarded with a final product like this quilt. I can't get enough of sawtooth stars, and it seems like neither can Mrs.Nelson. The top of the quilt is composed entirely of woven cottons from a few different producers of fine quilting cottons. Wildflower Wovens from Art Gallery Fabrics, Warp and Weft Ooh Lucky Lucky from Ruby Star Society, Space Dye Wovens from Figo Studio, and some scraps from here and there and everywhere.
