Finches in Flight

Spring is nearly here. Real spring; sometime following fool's spring and the spring of deception. It is a good time to have finished up this latest project. Another pattern called 'Due South' by Carrie Nelson. I made some changes to the pattern, and went with a color scheme rather than basing my fabric selections on tone. Wildflower Wovens from Art Gallery Fabrics, Warp and Weft Ooh Lucky Lucky from Ruby Star Society, Space Dye Wovens from Figo Studio, and some scraps from here and there and everywhere. It's such a joy to work with this kind of fabric. The colors and textures are incredibly rich. They all behave a littl...

Hello, world

Testing...testing... first blog entry to figure out what it is I'm doing here. I've torn myself away from the Janome for as long as I can bear it to see about making myself a diary of my quilting. Having abandoned social media, I'd still like a place to showcase my work and keep an archive to recall everything I've made. Here I am and here it is.  What I intend to do: post updates on my works in progress go back in time to display quilts I've made sell my available quilts conduct my annual (sometime bi-annual) raffle to support local mutual aid groups shoot the shit, maybe do some yapping, share a little scuttlebutt.. what-have-you Who I am: Hello, my name is Dani I work full-time in land conservation mornings, evenings, and weekends, I'm a quilter I am right-handed, leftist, and located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania I came of age during the heady days of aol instant messenger, limewire, and the whole Internet felt like the dark web.
